Korean fuel cell maker S-Fuelcell announced that it is selected as the leading developer of the government’s R&D program, which will develop 25kW fuel cell system for buildings. The program starts this month, and the government will pour KRW 9.2 billion into the effort, which will cost a total of KRW 12.2 billion.
An S-Fuelcell official commented it aims to realize a highly modular PEM fuel cell system with 40% energy efficiency and 40,000-hour life using natural gas.
Korea want to set 2.1GW of fuel cell systems for buildings by 2040.
