Hyundai Rotem breaks into hydrogen infra industry

Hyundai Motor Group’s rolling stock arm Hyundai Rotem is breaking into hydrogen infrastructure business. The company stated on June 10 that it is entering hydrogen recharging station business, seeking synergy with its existing railways business.

To realize the strategy, the company has already secured SMR technology and contracts for three reformer units which will be installed in Chungju and Samcheok.

Hyundai Rotem wants to achieve KRW 350 billion of sales from recharging stations and reformers by 2025.
