Korean utility garners a hybrid power project in Colombia

Korea Western Power, with Topinfra (PV contractor) and bakela (consulting), is selected as the developer of the ‘Bogotá Usme Hybrid Power Supply’ project by MOTIE. The project is under an ODA scheme in which Korea is building a total of 4.5MW power generation capacity (3.5MW in fossil fuel, 1MW in PV) in the Usme residential development area for low-income citizens.

The total cost is estimated at KRW 13.3 billion. The project starts in May for the completion in December 2022. Korea Western Power takes charge of design review, construction supervision, and facility trial.
