Korea held an inter-ministry meeting to improve offshore wind regulations

The Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy (MOTIE) and the Ministry of Oceans and Fisheries (MOF) held an inter-ministry meeting on May 25 to discuss ways to improve regulations on offshore wind development. The two ministries have established and participated in a working group since March with other relevant organizations to prevent conflicts around offshore wind projects. At the meeting, representatives of two ministries and other organizations, including the National Federation of Fisheries Cooperatives and Korea Wind Energy Industry Association, reviewed inputs from the industry and policy suggestions.
